Monday 19th December 2011 saw the doors open at the newest addition to the Power Play Pro Shop family.

Jon Zadel will head up the service provided to Rugby Superbowl. The shop will be open Monday, Thursday and Friday 7pm until 10pm on a regular basis, with additional appointments available on request.

The shop is already stocked out with a wide range of accessories, bags and shoes, with more additions to come. Though the shop will not have drilling equipment onsite, our base at Nuneaton will allow for a speedy service to anyone looking for bowling ball work to be carried out.

Power Play's Rob Thurlby captured his 2nd European Bowling Tour title Sunday evening in Istanbul, Turkey defeating PP's Paul Moor 393-386, in the title match of the 8th Istanbul Bowling Open.

Thurlby received the 10,000 Euro top prize while Moor pocketed 6,000 Euro for second place.

In an all-English affair over two games total pinfall, Thurlby, took a slim 10-pin lead with a 212-202 win in game one. Moor, who was looking for his 12th career EBT title, was able to win the second game, 184-181, but fell seven pins short.

1st Bowl Leeds is proud to present the 2011 Scott Banks Trios. The event will be held over the Bank Holiday weekend of Saturday 28th to Monday 30th May 2011.

Jack Smith re-takes the Tournament Managers role for this year event, which stays unchanged from previous years in format. The entry fee remains at £210 per team also.

Power Play's Nicki Ainge and Matt Chamberlain have both secure spots in the 12-person Masters Finals at the Commonwealth Tenpin Bowling Championships 2011 in Malaysia.

Matt enters the Masters in 9th position, though all scores are dropped for the first round 12-game Round Robin.

Likewise, Nicki will be fighting from scratch in the Womens Masters after qualifying in 4th place.

Power Play's Nicki Ainge along with Matt Miller won Gold in the Mixed Doubles at the Commonwealth Tenpin Bowling Championships 2011.

Miller's 1346 combined with Nicki's 1275 was enough to secure first by a healthy 78 pins.

Power Play's Nicki Ainge, bowling with Hayley White, finished in silver medal position in Ladies Doubles at the Commonwealth Tenpin Bowling Championships 2011.

Nicki shoot 1292, with Hayley shooting 1217 and the pairing missing top honours by just 35 pins.

Power Play's Matt Chamberlain along with Matt Miller claimed top spot in the Mens Doubles at the Commonwealth Tenpin Bowling Championships 2011.

Chamberlain shot 1348 on route to take Gold with Miller shooting 1263 giving them a 22 pin winning margin.

Nicki finished in 6th with 1212, while PP's Matt Chamberlain put in a solid start shooting 1267 and placing 10th.

Dom Barrett and PP's Paul Moor claimed honours in the 2011 PTBC Maldon Doubles.

Dom and Paul beat Cassie Staudinger and PP's Jo Allsebrook 472 to 389 in the final match.

PP's Nicki Ainge and Darren Cundy went out in the semi finals, also to Dom and Paul 447 to 385.

Paul also shot a 300 in game 3 of qualifying using his Storm Hyroad

Congratulations to Nicki Ainge on shooting a 300 in the Yorkshire trials on route to a 781 series with her Ebonite Mission 2.0

Mike Quarry has made it back-to-back victories by winning at Romford in the Team England Knockout Singles.

Mike claimed his win by Chris Oates, Adam Purnell and then Matt Chamberlain in the final game. Mike shot 416 to Matt's 409 to take the win.

Mike used his Revolver, Prodigy and Wild Thing along the way, throwing his TZone a bit when needed!

Mike Quarry was undefeated on route to win the 2010 PTBC Masters at 1st Bowl Ilkeston on January 9th.

Mike went 8-0 in the eight game round robin event to win by 174 pins over Finny Banks.

PP's Chris Oates and Matt Chamberlain finished 4th and 5th in the eight-man invitational event.

The step-ladder final of the 2010 English Open will be aired on Sky Sports 3 at 9pm on Wednesday 22nd December 2010

PP's Jo Cundy beat Zara Giles in the final of the 2010 English Open held at Lakeside Superbowl, Nuneaton.

In the first match of the finals, PP's Rob Thurlby narrowly defeated PP's Nicki Ainge. He then when on to dominate Dom Barrett in the quarter finals.

Zara came in to the semi-final and comfortable defeated Rob and her way to face Jo in the final game.

The final was a very close run match, with Jo pipping Zara to the finishing post.

Nicki Ainge, Rob Thurlby and Jo Cundy have made it through to the televised Step-Ladder of the 2010 English Open held at Lakeside Superbowl Nuneaton.
